- Single parent, I moved today Katy in 2006 from Minnesota. I have two kids my son is in the U.S. Marine Corp, and my daughter is in Junior High School. I started a singles group in Katy in January 2008 to meet area singles for social events. I believe that life is too short so get out and enjoy it. We have a lot of fun and its a great way to meet new friends in the community.
